Dr. Thompson is in her 13th year as an Associate Faculty member with University of Phoenix . She teaches courses on self-care for helping professionals and has been nominated Faculty of the Year three years in a row, 2020, 2021 and 2022. She is in her 20th year as a consultant for Southern Methodist University (SMU), Perkins School of Theology. She is the author of a best selling workbook Infidelity Recovery Workbook for Couples: Tools and Exercises to Rebuild Your Relationship.
